Division Flashcards 1–12 (144 Facts)
Showing question
About this deck
This deck has the 144 division facts that undo the 1–12 multiplication table. Cards are grouped by divisor, from ÷1 to ÷12, and every answer is a whole number from 1 to 12.
Division facts usually follow multiplication in third and fourth grade. Students who already know their times tables can treat each card as a missing-factor question.
Study the whole set, or copy the deck and keep only the divisors you're working on. Printed cards stay in divisor order so you can pull out a single group.
Study tips
- Read 56 ÷ 8 as "8 times what is 56?" Division recall comes from multiplication recall.
- Practice division right after the matching times table, for example the 7s and then ÷7.
- Start with ÷1, ÷2, ÷5 and ÷10, which most students find easiest.
- If a card takes more than a few seconds, review the related multiplication fact before trying again.

Frequently asked questions
›Why is there no division by zero?
Division by zero is undefined, so it is not a basic fact.
›Do any cards have remainders?
No. Every problem divides evenly. Remainders are usually taught after basic facts are fluent.
›Should my child learn division and multiplication at the same time?
Many teachers present them together as fact families (3 × 4 = 12, 12 ÷ 4 = 3), but fluency in multiplication usually comes first.
