Is Online Flashcard Maker really free?
Yes. Making, studying, printing, importing and exporting are all free, with no account and no limit on decks or cards.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account at all. Your decks are saved in this browser as soon as you make them.
Where are my flashcards saved?
In your browser on this device (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded to a server. Use Settings → Download backup to keep a copy or move your decks to another device. Clearing site data or using a private window can remove locally saved decks.
What can I make flashcards from?
PDFs (including scanned pages, read with on-device text recognition), Word files, photos of notes, CSV and Excel sheets, Quizlet exports, Anki .apkg packages, or text you paste. You can also type cards yourself.
How do I print double-sided flashcards?
Open a deck and choose Print. Pick Double-sided, your paper size and how your printer flips (long or short edge). The PDF puts fronts on odd pages and mirrored backs on even pages so they line up.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the app has finished caching on your first visit. After that you can open your saved decks, study and print without a connection.
